Hunt Hickory Creek
I've been guiding in Kansas for almost 20 years. I used to hunt for myself but I realized that I had the opportunity to make other hunters dreams come true. I have the pleasure of meeting many nice people, and it gives me great satisfaction seeing the wide eyed hunter tell his stories of close encounters or awesome kills.
Being a bow hunter by heart, the scouting and stand placement gives me a lot of satisfaction. Where else can you be more than one place at a time - having hunters in stands that I set is just that! Hunting season is only a short time of the year, but I get to do what I love all year long - shed hunting, food plotting, and scouting.
If you get the chance to come down and sample what Hickory Creek has to offer, I bet it will leave a lasting impression. Our goal is to have satisfied hunters that come back every season to rekindle friendships and share good times!

Trophy Class Birds
By limiting the amount of hunters per season, we keep hunting pressure to a minimum - allowing the birds to mature longer. We have food plots and river bottom crop ground that keep the Tom's fed well. The natural terrain of Oak and Sycamore trees along our creek and river bottoms, provide prime roosting areas. Our hunters have a high success rate on their first bird, with an excellent chance at taking a second bird! To provide the best hunting experience, we do not allow Jakes to be harvested.
Guided Turkey Hunting
Our experienced guides will provide you with aerial maps of the land you'll be hunting, and discuss the locations where they've identified roosting and strutting activity.
Before first light, you'll be driven to one of our hunting stands, where you can do your own set up and calling. With minimal hunting pressure, you won't have to worry about call shy birds. When you're ready, we'll return you to the hunting lodge where you can share the stories of your successful harvest with other hunters.
Fertile Hunting Land
Large open pastures, creek bottoms lined with white oaks, and heavy timbered draws all provide ample nutrients and roosting areas for the birds. The varying terrain, combined with our minimal hunting pressure and active scouting policies, provide the perfect combination for a successful hunting experience.
View the trophy room, for pictures of the many birds harvested from our land.
