ABOUT THE BOAT

Boat Description:
Next to choosing the right captain, there’s nothing more important when picking a fishing expedition company than the boat. It’s essential that you work with a captain who is fully licensed by the Coast Guard and pilots a vessel with comprehensive safety gear. At Captain John O’Hanlon Fishing Expeditions, we are proud to take our clients out on the waters of Florida aboard our boat, the Jenny O. Meet the Jenny O. The Jenny O;The Jenny O. is a 23-foot Mako Center Console boat with a completely refurbished, 50-gallon live well to ensure that your bait stays lively. The Jenny O. drafts very little water while maintaining a smooth, dry ride to ensure the comfort of everyone in your company. She is powered by a 200 horse power Mercury Optimax Outboard motor to allow for power, dependability and flexibility. Our family has been using Mercury products for more than 50 years and is proud to say that the Jenny O. is the best fishing vessel we’ve seen in Florida’s waters. Thanks to its power, the Jenny O. is the perfect choice among inshore fishing boats. A versatile vessel, it also provides for a better experience than most flats fishing boats thanks to its smooth ride. For the O’Hanlon family, the Jenny O. is about more than just fishing trips too. The vessel is named for our daughter Jenny, who was studying to become a nurse at the University of Florida when she contracted Meningococcal Meningitis. Though Jenny passed away suddenly at the age of 19, the Jenny O. serves as a constant reminder of her bright spirit and love of the water.
