Alaskan Guided Bear Hunts
Grizzly Bear hunting in Alaska
When a hunter thinks of hunting in Alaska; Grizzly Bears are usually the first species that comes to mind. There is not an animal in Alaska that will get your heart pounding on the final stalk like an Alaskan Grizzly Bear. Whether you chose to chase Grizzlies in the spring or fall, my guided bear hunts are unforgettable.
My spring and fall bear hunting trips are for Alaskan Interior Grizzly Bears. Your hunt will take place in Game Management Unit 25 by the famous Alaska Yukon River. Interior Grizzly Bears are known for the beautiful color phases of their fur. The colors range from almost black to gold and every color in between.
All of my bear hunts are fully guided. 1 hunter X 1 guide. Bear camps consist of Arctic Oven tents with cots and woodstoves. The tents are tall enough to stand up in and are very spacious.
Fall Grizzly Bear hunt
As old man winter knocks on the door; bears are smacking their lips on frost covered blueberries, trying to pack on as many calories as possible before their long winter nap. In fall bears travel to search for remaining blueberry morsels and the perfect den site. We travel to frosty mountain and ridge tops to glass large expanses. Once a bear is spotted the heart rate picks up and the stalk is on.
My fall Grizzly Bear hunts are conducted 100% by 4-wheeler. Each hunter will have his own 4-wheeler.
This hunt is a multi-species hunt if you choose. You can harvest black bear, wolverine, or wolf for free until your grizzly bear is harvested. Once your grizzly bear is harvested, you can continue your hunt for secondary species for $500.00 per day –No trophy fees. You must purchase and possess a locking tag and harvest ticket to harvest black bear and wolverine. Locking tags or harvest tickets are NOT required to harvest wolves. Limit is 10 wolves.
I highly encourage hunters to harvest wolves. My Grizzly Bear hunting area is currently under an intensive management predator control program by Alaska Dept. of Fish & Game to reduce wolf numbers.
