Surfside Beach Charters

Welcome to Surfside Beach Saltwater Charters your Texas State Water specialists. We're your one stop for the ultimate offshore fishing experience and comfortable and convenient lodging. We are conveniently located one hour from Houston and 30 minutes from Galveston in Freeport / Surfside Beach, Texas. Our location offers quick and easy access to the Gulf of Mexico and the abundance of fish our Texas State Waters have to offer including Red Snappers, Redfish, Sharks, Kingfish, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia/Ling, Dorado/Dolphin, Catfish and Tarpon depending on season.

You can trust US Coast Guard licensed Captains Kevin Martin and Aaron Carter to provide you a safe and memorable fishing experience. Captain Kevin has been a guide in this area for over 15 years and knows where the fish are. Captain Aaron is newer on the scene but has gained valuable experience from fishing with the BEST and we are excited to have him on board as the Captain of the "Live Action" boat.

Great fishing fun for all ages and levels of experience. There is something for everyone at Surfside Beach Charters from beginners to the most avid anglers. Captains and crew are extremely kid friendly, catering to families as well as corporate trips, bachelor parties and everyone else who is not a fan of a long boat ride to your fishing destination. On most trips you are fishing within 30 minutes and yes, we have bathrooms on both boats for your convenience and comfort.

Now offering two dedicated State Water boats. Our 31 ft. Century boat: "Live Action" has been our dedicated State Water boat, successfully fishing Texas State Waters for years and one of the few boats able to keep Red Snappers year-round. We have decided to better serve our customers by also dedicating our Glacier Bay Catamaran: "Size Matters" as a State Water boat in addition to the "Live Action" boat. Therefore, we can keep Red Snappers year-round on both boats, rather than just the highly restricted Federal Season. Now you can get to experience the unbelievable ride of our beautiful Glacier Bay Catamaran: "Size Matters" on State Water trips. This boat measures over 32 feet long and you won't believe the ride of the Catamaran! If conditions are less than ideal, you'll be glad you're on this boat! You won't bang or get wet! You must experience it to believe it!

No experience necessary! All fishing rods, bait and tackle are provided, and fish cleaning is included. Let's go fishing!

CAPTAIN KEVIN MARTIN

I have been fishing out of Freeport / Surfside Beach since 1975 when my parents retired and moved here from Dallas. I'm sure glad they picked Surfside. This place was as special to them then as it is to us now. They have both since passed away, but their love for the Village of Surfside, the people and the ocean lives on in us. I moved here permanently in 2001 and started fishing as a guide in 2002. I can guarantee I will do everything I can to put you on as much action as possible.

So let's go fishing and it might be your lucky day!!

CAPTAIN AARON CARTER

Growing up in Fort Worth, I spent a lot of time fishing on area lakes with my friends. Fishing has always been a passion and hobby of mine along with golf and guitars. After being in the oilfield for 12 years, I decided it was time to get away from the fields and back to the water. I moved to the Freeport / Surfside Beach area to gain more offshore experience. Since moving here, I've worked as a deckhand and mate for several Captains, learning the ropes and developing my skills. After fishing with Captain Kevin and others, I decided to move my fishing career forward and became a USCG licensed Captain as well as continuing to gain knowledge from my friend Captain Kevin as a deckhand. It's always an honor and a great time fishing with him as well as learning from him and I am glad to be a part of the Surfside Beach Charters team. My outgoing personality and energy have always been a great asset throughout my life and is displayed on my fishing trips. I look forward to a successful season as your Captain on the "Live Action" boat.
